Back to Blogging

Wow...I'm gonna get to blog! It has been forever!

When you have kids and it is the end of the year, you will have more to do than you can possibly achieve!

At the moment we are knee deep in graduation announcements, graduation parties, birthday parties, gifts for the graduate and birthday kids, scholarship seeking, college applications, financial aid forms, and then just trying to keep the troops from destroying the house and food on the table. This doesn't account for the 2 year old who turned 3 and thinks he runs the world!

He keeps throwing around "its my birthday" thinking he will get his way!

Then we have another permit driver in the house so that means another year of driving lessons. Trying to figure out how to squeeze that in to an already jammed pack schedule.

I find this time of year very stressful. As a home schooler I typically can plan our activities and adjust. But when it is the end of the year, much of it is out of my control. I can't imagine if they were all in school and thinking of all the projects and events they would have to attend or deadlines to meet.

For now, I am left with taking a deep breath and moving one step at a time while juggling the family events and deadlines. Trying to move in God's grace verses my chaos!

I am having lots of opportunity to depend on the Lord, train the 3 year old who believes he runs the world, and tell teens no from time to time while dealing with their frustration and disappointments. Lets face it, THERE is nothing easy about being a mom! BUT I wouldn't trade it for the world!
