Life with 8 kids is anything but simple. Barry and I spend our days keeping everyone on track without losing our minds in the process. It just isn't easy guiding your family when you have teenagers that fight for independence and toddlers trying to see what part of their world they can control!
But now getting a glimpse on the other side having a daughter in college and seeing her mature into a woman, its worth the fight!
I'm anxious to see the young adults my children will become. I have high hopes they will be walking boldly for Christ!
In the meantime, we are left to walk one day at a time teaching, training, and guiding them to maturity. THAT my friend is a full time job! And is definitely NOT for the faint at heart!
The days are long but the years are short.
The messes are many, while your energy is drained!
The emotions run high but the love runs deep!
Don't lose heart parents! Gather yourself around other parents to be encouraged. Remember tomorrow is a new day. And never forget to call out to the Lord on a regular basis. Apart from Him, I have no idea how we could sustain the energy, hope and will for another day!
Our children needs us to keep up, so...."Let's do this thing!"
