HaPpY BiRtHdAy - To a Dad from a Daughter

To Barry's surprise this morning he woke up to an email from a daughter. Before heading off to work he woke her up and gave her a kiss asking if she woke up early to send this message. Our little girl is not so little, she figured out how to send a timed message 3 days earlier to be sent today.

I don't think words can describe the joy on a fathers face to know she planned early and thought out such a special note to her dad.

I asked permission if I could share her heart felt note. She wasn't so open to that at first but then said I could share.

(This is a dad who is honored all the days of his life!)

HaPpY BiRtHdAy DaD

hey dad happy birthday
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH I could NEVER have a better dad than you.
you always take care of me and look after me and you do what is best for
me,
and I want to thank you for that,
and even when you say no to things like me going to a friends house
I get sad but you always FIND a way to make me feel better and make me happy
and help me not be upset.

you are the best dad I could ever ever have.
and when I am sad or mad you always find a way to make me laugh,
you don't give up on trying to make me feel better and I love that.
I love you so much!!!!!!!!!

I remember I used to always say I am your little girl I miss saying that to you,
it reminds me that you do what is best for me
and you only say no to things and correct my bad behavior and my mistakes
because you love me and you want to look after me.

I WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR LITTLE GIRL I WILL NEVER STOP BEING YOUR LITTLE GIRL :D I LOVE YOU SO MUCH AND I HOPE YOU LIKED THIS LETTER!!!! I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

I WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR LITTLE GIRL!!!!

  1. Amazingly sweet! Between this and your letter of yesterday it seems that your hubby needs a blog to advise men on how to be men!

  2. No dad could receive a more precious gift! And,
certainly, we are blessed to get to see Barry's love put into action (lived out in real life) with all 3 of his "little girls" and his 5 young men. Abbey did such a great job of expressing her appreciation and we are impressed to see the wisdom expressed in her very special birthday letter. Thanks to you and Abbey for sharing these encouraging words! Because God first loved us, we love ...
