Tired, Worn Out, Exhausted!!!

Absolutely the only way to describe how I feel at the moment.
Spent nearly 5 or 6 hours in the car today and I never once left Little Rock! Impressive HUH?

Have you had those days where you just knew there was not going to be enough time to accomplish all there is for you to do? I knew this was coming. I planned and planned and I think every hour something new popped up that made an already impossible schedule more impossible. My big problem is I have another 1-2 days of the impossible! On top of that why does someones birthday always have to be in one of those weekends!

With all the running around and managing this house I am trying to remember that my ministry is this home. Regardless of what I get accomplished I need to remember that God is always moving if I let HIM. That is IF...I let Him! It would have been so easy to cave in and throw my hands up. But to realize I am a walking picture, a walking class, a walking instrument in how "they/my children" learn how to handle stress, chaos, the unexpected, overwhelming, tiring, exhausting days. I best keep moving with my eyes on the goal!

What is my secret to get me back on track with the right attitude, actions, and is looking at those eyes of my children and realizing they are soaking up everything their mom and dad are doing! I only get one chance to live this life with them. I am honored that He gave them to me to raise. My problem is I forget they are His! I think they are mine and that I am king. I am not king....I am a servant of the true King! I want to serve my King well and in that it means that I will live a life that honors His children, my children, no matter how tired, worn out, and exhausted this mom may be!

Hold the line ladies! We set the tempo of the home...we are the first line of training. We have a unique opportunity in that they are able to be trained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ALL year long! Yes...the days are tiring but your reward is coming! We aren't in this alone (although it can feel that way) we forget to look...look....because God is standing right there with you! With that extra grace to get us through ONE more day!

  1. Thanks for the reminder. Is there anything else BUT crazy days right now? Whew. Glad I'm not the only one.

  2. beautiful piece Shannon....Beka

  3. It makes me so happy when I cross paths with another mom that "gets it"! Keep writing girl and pointing other moms toward the One who can help them through their everyday lives and "do life" with His purpose in mind. Blessings to you!
