Do You Ever Wonder

I'm so thankful for our time with our grandson as he and his momma live with us while his daddy serves our country.  We are so thankful for the men and women who serve.  They give up much of their time, freedom, and choices to fight, defend, and sacrifice for us.

Seizing our moment to take a stroll I am reminded how we should keep our eyes upon the Lord.

We said, "Let's go for a walk and HE was all in."

Colt had no idea where we were going, what we were doing, or what the object was.  His only thought was I trust Honey (me)  and Bear (Barry).

I wonder how many times the Lord has reached out to me and said let's go for a walk and I said, "Where are we going?" "What will we do?" "Who will we see?" or maybe I have even said, "I don't really want to go on this walk because I don't know where we are headed or what is required of me!"

If Colt had questioned us we would have missed our opportunity of a beautiful end of the day stroll. The sun would set and the moment would be lost.  He would have missed out on the opportunity to run down a hill, dive into our arms, chat while we strolled.  He would have missed seeing the wonders of God's creation through plants, bugs, dirt, wind and weeds!  He loved every moment of that walk.  (and so did we!)

I wonder...if I walked more with the Lord, would I love every moment more?  Don't get me wrong.  I know the Lord!  I walk with Him daily.  I just think sometimes my eyes are on my circumstances and NOT on my Savior.  I spend more time worrying and stressing than seeking to be filled.  I think I see the obstacles and not the opportunities.  I worry about my step vs complete trust in His guidance.  I hope the next time the Lord captures me in a moment and says, "let's walk"...I'll drop all the worry, concern, and tasks before me...and walk!
