Loved my conversation with the 5 year old last night. Driving home late at night he began talking about how college friends of ours could pick him up.
Did you see mom?
He is big and can pick me up!
Yes, Brock I saw.
The Holy Spirit is big and can pick me up.
Jesus is big and can pick us up.
He died on the cross for our sins, right?
Yes, he did.
God is big because God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all the same, right mom?
Yes, you are exactly right.
Sometimes Dave and Caleb are big and can pick me up and Daddy is big but they aren't as big as the Holy Spirit. (pause) Or Jesus. (pause) Or God.
(you could see his little mind working and thinking about who is big)

I was laughing at our conversation and yet thought what wisdom coming from a 5 year old. How our worries and concerns would fall away if we just remember HOW big God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are! They are so BIG they can pick me up ANY time!
Do you realize how big God is?
We truly need to always see like a child!
Children have such simple faith that we seem to complicate as adults.
