You know....as long as we live here, on this side of heaven,
life just isn't going to go well!
Why is it that we expect it to go a certain way.
If things go our way then we believe we are in God's will.
If things are not going well we wonder why God is punishing us.
Really?
That is what we believe our God to be?
A performance based discipinarian that likes to withhold his blessings for the perfect?
Really?
Because I know Him to be the God that gave His son on the cross to die for my sins that I might have eternal life! The moment I accept Him as Lord of my life I HAVE LIFE! Could it be that He has allowed certain things to happen that aren't pleasant that we might still glorify Him. Could He have reasons for allowing those that we might never know?
I am still a believer that who better to suffer than the christians. Why would anyone care to know what I think when life is easy for me. Sure it is easy to praise Him when life is going perfect. But the impact we can make on others when we struggle and they can see JOY inspite of our circumstances is powerful!
If you are in the midst of a trial, struggle, or suffereing....(smile my friend) God counted you worthy to bring about His glory while you walk this side of heaven. He WILL supply the grace you need to keep on walking! I don't want to set my children up for their joy to only be when the good happens. Because I know life will offer a lot of other unpleasant moments.
I want their joy to shine even in the pain that life brings!

So.....Take a moment and read these lyrics. Rebecca St. James sang this last night at the SHE Event and it took on a deeper meaning for me this time. Probably in light that things don't go the way I think and I fall into the pit of thinking I am out of Gods will. But in reality I am faced with a question.....whether He gives or take away....will I still Bless His Name?
