Giving a little grace today as it is Spring Break here in Little Rock but our family celebrated last week. Amazing how although the kids had 4 extra friends stay the entire week, they did no school and pretty much planned their own day, they feel they deserve another week off.
Remembering that their friends are important to them, school is required (even if we homeschool) and trying not to frustrate them to death while mom moves forward with life. We will slowly walk forward with getting done what needs to be done.
Beginning with a toddler that believes he can say "NO", pout, whine, to get what he wants.
Beginning with children that believe the T.V. or Wii gets to come on immediately or you drop to the floor with disgust.
Beginning with teens that believe they are allowed to sleep until noon each day and roll two eyeballs when I announce otherwise.
Beginning with a mom that has been off mom duty for an entire week and realizing it will not go as smooth as she dreamed.
Hello Monday! I believe we will take baby steps today!
I am off to teach the toddler no screaming, teach the children to share! Maybe when I finish that task the teens will wake up?
We had a great Spring Break last week too. My two year old came back with the phrase, "I don't want to." Guess we will be in the same boat:)
