Shhh! Time To Be Quiet!

Yep, the 4 year old has gotten me!

Trying to get 3 boys to bed at the same time can be rather maddening!  They all feel they must have the last word.  Or they have a good excuse why THEY had to get out of bed.  Which only leads to another little boy topping the previous boys excuse and reasoning.  NOW we are faced with a mom lacking sleep might be over her head at this point!

Giving another Shhh!  It's time to STOP talking!  The 4 year old pops up and says (since dad is not here he is my sleeping buddy!  Although at the moment I am not sure why I thought that was a good idea!) 
"God says to let people talk!"
"Right mom!"
"He says I can talk!"

Thinking really fast as Brady knows Gods word is final...a quick...Help me LORD was in order...I reply...
"Yes, God likes us to talk to Him but he also asks us to obey our parents and I asked you to stop."

"Mom!  That is true!"
"I will stop talking"
"I'm going to quit now"
"mmm mmm hmmm mmm"

SERIOUSLY

I've taught this before and we are basically looking at a child that has determined that partial obedience is obedience, which it is NOT.  Tomorrow will be time for mom to draw the line! Why not tonight...well, I know my limits and tonight MOM is done.  haha

I think with all the commotion, adjusting, moving, sorting, switching houses, changing which kid is here and which kid is there, all the rules have changed for him.  Time to clarify that obedience will remain!  So don't be surprised if you find me leaning over the 4 year old, holding the line, he so willingly moves around!  Here's hoping I do it filtered in GRACE!
